About Grass Hut Media
In 2008, Grass Hut Media was formed in Victoria, BC, on the beautiful West Coast of Canada.
We're an innovative tribe of designers, developers, and artists, working together to produce an array of business solutions for the tribe (our clients) that we work with.
As a comprehensive media house, we offer web design, video production, branding, photography, social media and advertising to the businesses that we work with. We also consult on ways to improve internal communication, so that you strengthen your company from within and project an honest reflection of your company to the world.
Our business grows the more your business grows. Working with Grass Hut Media means you're just as much a member of our Tribe as we are of yours and we take that honour very seriously. We love helping to enable small businesses and have worked with over 60 businesses, artists, performers, and non-profits from around the world since we started 3 years ago.
One of the main ideas that we built our company around is that it is not numbers or technology that matter the most, it is people - the people we work with, the people that buy our products and services, and the people of our community. We work very hard to infuse this philosophy into all of our work and interactions, and encourage our clients to do the same.
Creative Direction
Grass Hut Media is lead by the creative direction of Justus Lowry. Justus was raised in Victoria, BC amidst the beautiful West Coast of Canada, in a family of young film makers, artists, designers, writers, and entrepreneurs. He grew up in art programs and by the age of 12, he had designed his elementary school's logo. After highschool, in 2000, he went on to study Computer Animation at the Centre for Digital Imaging and Sound - Currently The Art Institute of Burnaby.
After CDIS, Justus went back and fourth between Victoria and Vancouver working in various positions in design, photography, the film industry, marketing and advertising.
In 2007, the idea to form a media company, a life long goal, began to take shape. Web design became a focus, combining his knowledge in wide variety of media into one cohesive platform. Grass Hut Media was formed in 2008, putting all of Justus' passions into one vehicle.
Community
The neighborhood that we work in, the community that we live in, and the world that we call home mean everything to us. We're continually working on enabling socially responsible people, projects, and organizations through our work to help nurture healthy communities.
Whether it's people working on improving their communities, the local food supply or buildings schools in Tanzania, we're committed to using our company to help socially responsible projects and programs to thrive.
